Arrival Cairo International Airport , you will be met by our representative and assist you through customs formalities then transfer to your booked hotel . In the evening, enjoy dinner cruise on the Nile whilst watching a traditional folklore show. Overnight in hotel. Day 2: ( Cairo ) Breakfast, Today has been left free. You may wish to visit the Pyramids & Sphinx. Situated on the Giza plateau is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and now one of the wonders of the modern world too, the three Great Pyramids of Giza. Visit the Pyramid of Cheops, the Sphinx, and the Granite Temple (you can visit the solar boat museum for a small extra cost payable locally), then proceed to visit he world-famous Egyptian Museum. With more than 100,000 artifacts spanning Egyptian history from the earliest dynasties to the Roman era, the Egyptian Museum represents the largest collection of its kind in the world. A minimum of three to four hours is necessary to take in the highlights, you can enter the Royal Mummy Room (there is a small additional charge payable locally to enter the Mummy Room), which contains the corpses of 11 of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs including Seti I and his son Ramses II. Room 27 displays intricate models of ancient life on the Nile during the Middle Kingdom, in the late afternoon visit to the famous Khan El Khalili market, in the evening Sound & Light Show at Giza Pyramids where you will enjoy the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Giza Pyramids. Day 3: ( Alexandria, Cairo) Breakfast, Depart your Cairo hotel, You may wish to Visit Alexandria, the city founded by Alexander the Great in 312BC which was the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt. Your first stop is the Catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, a Roman burial site which has a family tomb that shows the merging of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture. Descend below ground to visit the tomb as well as Caracalla Hall, which you will learn was incorrectly named as such. Back above ground, continue to Pompey's Pillar, a 82 foot (25 meter) granite column built to honor Emperor Diocletian who freed the besieged city and brought food to the starving people. Then proceed to visit and watch from outside The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast, then proceed to The Montazah Garden visit cover an area of 370 feddans and contain trees, palms, and flowers, In the afternoon you will return to Cairo with a rest stop along the way if required, in the evening Transfer to Cairo Train Station for Sleeper Train to Luxor. Overnight on board. Day 4: ( Nile Cruise,Luxor ) Arrive Luxor , meet by our representative and assist you through customs formalities then transfer to your booked Nile Cruise, have lunch. After lunch cross the Nile to the West Bank and the spectacular mortuary complexes of the Valleys of the Kings and Queens. Returning via the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, you pass the Colossi of Memnon en route back to the boat. Return to your Nile Cruise for a welcome reception and dinner. Overnight in Luxor. Day 5: ( Nile Cruise, Luxor, Edfu) Early morning visit the superbly preserved XVIIIth Dynasty Luxor Temple and the astounding Temple at Karnak. Luxor Temple was built over 4000 years ago, and represents the epoch of the once mighty city of Thebes and the worship of the god Amun. Karnak Temple was built over 4,000 years ago, Karnak’s immense Hypostyle Hall alone contains the phenomenal sight of 134 towering columns of intricate stonework. Return to the boat and sail to Edfu via Esna and take a leisurely lunch en-route. This afternoon visit the temple of Horus at Edfu before sailing toward Kom Ombo where you’ll moor for the night. Tonight enjoy a traditional Gallabia party whilst taking dinner. Day 6: ( Nile Cruise, Kom Ombo, Aswan) Morning visit to Kom Ombo the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Horus, from where there is also a fine view over the river. Return to your boat and sail down to Aswan whilst lunch is served. Upon your arrive in Aswan you will be taken on a guided tour of the High Dam, The Unfinished Obelisk and then continuing to the beautiful Temple of Philae, rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser when the dam was constructed. Belly dancing will be the evening entertainment tonight before your dinner, overnight in Aswan. Day 7: ( Nile Cruise, Aswan ) Morning at leisure in Aswan. This afternoon sail on the Nile by Felucca around Kitchener’s island. Overnight in Aswan. Day 8: ( Abu Simbel,Aswan) This morning disembark after breakfast, with an opportunity to visit the spectacular temples of Abu Simbel. Built by Ramses II, the setting of this magnificent structure, besides the shores of Lake Nasser, makes it one of the most spectacular of Egypt’s ancient sites.
